GoldenApples Core Values

1.     God loves every child
We hope to teach children that our Creator is a loving Father and just Ruler. We want to help them understand that obeying God is a byproduct of us loving God back. God loved each of us so much that He sent Messiah, His own son, to show us the power of forgiveness that each of us can have.

2.     Every child that chooses God is “chosen” by God
God’s first gift to each of us is life, and the second is choice. We want to help children learn to trust God to help them make better choices about their daily lives as they learn to walk with Him. The choice to follow God’s ways is their decision.

3.     God thinks bigger than we do
As we learn and grow in God, we begin to wonder “why” about a lot of things. Why does God allow this? Why doesn’t God let me do that? How can that work? We want to teach children that while faith is a gift to believe… learning to trust that God sees the “big picture” takes time studying the scriptures AND repeated experiences of His personal goodness to each of us.

4.     Thanking God is the fastest way to get back to Him
When we feel bad about what is happening around us or even inside us, remembering God’s love and thanking Him for what He’s done, and who He is, makes us happy again. When we teach children to remember how big He is… our problems seem a lot smaller.

5.     Showing other people God’s love brings healing to the whole world.
Helping others and sharing our faith go hand-in-hand. God made a way for us to find Him. Now it’s up to us to be a good example of God’s love to others. Teaching children to serve the needs of those around us is the stepping stones to making them great leaders.

6.     God’s family sticks together
Living in a community of God loving people teaches us more about ourselves and each other. God made each of us special with different gifts, talents and abilities. Nobody has it all. Teaching children to work together, loving and forgiving each other, helps us all show the world that God’s ways DO WORK BEST!

7.     God keeps His promises and never gives up on us
We want to teach the children that God makes a covenant trail of promises from the beginning of the Scripture all the way to the end. His promise to make a people for Himself, through Abraham and Sarah, came true. His promise to send Messiah came true with the birth and resurrection of our Yeshua. His promise of eternal life to everyone who believes in Yeshua is also true. AND, God’s promise NEVER give up on the Jewish people is true. The Jewish people are just as important to Messiah’s return as they were to His first coming.
